Comments Policy

We welcome comments and discussion on The Finance Reveal. Thoughtful reader input makes our content better and helps other readers. This policy explains what we expect and how we moderate.

What we encourage

We like comments that add something: a question, a personal experience, a correction, a different perspective, or a useful tip. You do not have to agree with us, and respectful disagreement is welcome. The goal is a discussion that stays helpful to people trying to make sense of their finances.

What is not allowed

To keep the discussion useful and safe, we remove comments that are abusive, hateful, harassing, or threatening; spam or purely promotional; off-topic or deliberately disruptive; misleading or fraudulent, including get-rich-quick pitches; or that share other people’s private information. We also remove anything unlawful or that infringes someone’s rights.

Not financial advice

Comments reflect the views of the people who post them, not The Finance Reveal. Information shared by other readers is not vetted by us and should not be treated as professional advice. Please do not share sensitive personal or financial details in a public comment.

Moderation

Comments may be reviewed before they appear, and we may edit, hold, or remove any comment at our discretion. Repeated breaches of this policy can lead to a reader being blocked. We aim to apply these rules consistently and fairly, but moderation decisions are ultimately ours.

Reporting a comment

If you see a comment that breaks these rules, let us know through our Contact page and we will review it.
